Beer Chant

Seriously...it's ninety degrees and humid here.....I'm going to enjoy a nice cold can of Coors Light! My hubby took this picture of me a few weeks ago in St. Andrew's. I wasn't really paying homage to the beer god, I was looking through the deck to see if I could spot a trinket we dropped..... I really was...giggle......

Poem Artwork

Oh great god of sudsy brew,
I am ever grateful to you!
Thank you for my ice-cold beer
That never fails to bring me cheer!
Frothy, chilled and full of zest,
From a can I like it best!
Bliss in every single sip,
I love that tingle on my lips!
One or two is my limit though,
A very good thing for me to know!
More than that would make me loose,
And acting like a silly goose!
Now that this silly chant is done,
I’ll open up another one!
Hic! Oops! Cheers!

If homage is not given to the gods of beer we can incur their wrath, trust me I have known in past times what happens when dues are not paid...;-) Ed

I have assumed that position on occasion and not because I was looking for trinkets. Not exactly chanting either. It's good to know your limits. I guess at mine and then ignore. Patrick

I was there. You can see by the dead soldiers on the table in front of her why she was on her knees. She was definitley paying homage. What fun you are, little sister!!

Hahaha...I love the pic! And the wonderful freeing humor in this piece made me laugh. I think you should have another. Getting loose and acting silly like a goose is good for everyone from time to time.

Peace,
Dayvid

Wow - I can see I've been very negligent. I better start paying some homage to the Beer Gods, too. I'd hate to tick them off.

Hmmm, is it the heat that is getting to you or the beer?? What a hoot!

Be always safe,

Very cute poem!

Beer is an acquired taste I have not yet acquired, but I like it for the first sip anyway ~
Cheers,
Christine

Oh, yeah, sure you're looking for "a trinket you dropped." Sure!!! I'm not a big drinker of beer, but, due to your words, I miust confess that as soon as I punch "
