Annabel,
I absolutely love hummingbirds. I put up my feeders about two wks before time for them and wait anxiously for the first arrival. Now I have many at my feeders, I have five feeders on my front porch, they are very territorial. No matter how much food they have they fight over it, its amusing to watch them. Great pic and write.

One thing I truly miss about living in apartment now as compared to my house are my hummingbird feeders...yea I could watch those little buggers for hours...

Yes they are cute little birds. I never seen them until I moved to Phoenix. I love to watch them hover. Great write, Annabel.

Nicely done, Anna.

My Mom claims the same one's come back each summer. She has one that has been the first to arrive and last to leave for 3 or 4 years in a row, it's bigger than the rest and he's a bully to them. She thinks they have a regular circuit that they make each year.

Hummingbirds are absolutely amazing. They are fairly common in Southern California and I've always had a hummingbird feeder hanging on my rear patio and even now, after years of living here, I will stand almost transfixed watching these magnificently small,fascinating birds. Good poem, my friend.
