Is there anything more rejuvinating than a campfire on a warm summer night?..just letting Mother Nature wrap her arms around you.....bliss....

Poem Artwork

 

Friends will gather near the forest
And in homage to summer
A campfire will soon spring to life!
The glowing embers of the cosy fire
Will cast a spell on them…
And the small stream babbling nearby…
Hurrying over moss-covered stones
Will add rhythm to the night!
Crickets and peepers will serenade them…
Lending their voices to the ambience!
And when dusk claims the setting sun
The open field beyond the trees
Will light up with a million sparks…
Fireflies dancing neath the stars!
And the friends will celebrate summer
Sharing an emotional banquet
Of intermingled truth and dreams…
Laughter will permeate the forest
And Mother Nature will embrace them
As their hearts and souls are reunited!

Can I join you? A lovely poem about the joys of summer and communing with nature as you enjoy the friends surrounding you. I hope there will be singing around the campfire as I see this in my minds eye. A captivating poem; well penned and presented, Annabel.

Actually, Anna, I do not remember ever doing this... sitting by a campfire communicating with nature such as stated in this beautiful poem. However, if I have never physically done this, the closest I can imagine coming to it is this lovely poem.

Beautifully done, Anna, and I felt the ambiance, was there, smelling the smoke and listening to the orchestra of nature's sympathy. I did miss hearing the old owl hooting every so often.
