I must apologize in advance for this is just plain silly but with all the stress, I needed the relief of nonsense. I love to cycle in the sun - a lot. It's a long, cool winter here so a lot of cycling is not in the sunshine. Sometimes my knee reminds me that I'm not as young as I used to be. Still, so far, I'm still cycling down and up the mountain and I am grateful for it. Oh, and another reason this came to me is that I did not have a title starting with "k" in the alphabet. Go figure how the mind works in the midst of night.

Poem Artwork

Knee

Without my knee
I cannot see
What I want to see
Without my knee
You see
I cannot be
Where I want to be
So I could see
What I want to see
Without my knee
You see
I’m not really me
Where would I be
Without my knee?

Dear Regis, we all need a little silliness in our lives, because we'd all be insane if we didn't. This is a very good light-hearted poem, and I agree with Muhammad too, it is the truth, because without our knees, we couldn't walk like we do, or sit like we do, or ride bicycles. If we didn't have knees, we couldn't stoop or bend to pick something up. So our knees are just as important as the rest of our body. And even Stephanie put a little silliness in here too, by asking what did you smoke before writing this (giggles). Without silliness and without our knees, hmmm who knows how we'd get along (giggles).

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

A kneeless write, can't you see?

I, too have pointless poems to write, like my last. What counts is that you can still ride. My knee tells me that it isn't long before it won't support my weight when I transfer with help. Still, I remember bike rides with abandon in my youth--you never forget how to ride--or how to write about its thrill.

Nothing wrong with nonsense. Especially when written to heal. And actually Reg, I think the poem speaks volumes. When something, anything, including knees keep us from the things we enjoy it can be quiet a pain...;) I have arthritis in my hands and sometimes it keeps me from writing, cooking, alot of things that I enjoy. So I know the sentiments here well. But when I am able to use them again, ah the joy is unspeakable! Good day to you dear friend.
