Limericks VII

There was once was a lovely young bride
She made the groom swell with pride
But once at the altar
Her resolve did falter
She ran off on a one-way bus ride
 
There once was a man from Lahore
Who went for a walk on the shore
It was night and the moon
Actually made him swoon
Until his wife called him a bore
 
There’s this gal I know named Cryssie
She can be a little prissy
But don’t get her mad
Or you will be sad
In no way is she a sissy
 
There once was a fat cat named Pat
He sat on a mat by a vat
He was almost dreaming
When he woke up screaming
At a hat-wearing rat with a gat
 
I know this young bartender
Who had a fender bender
His boss is a jerk
So he’s lost his work
Now he’s a fender mender
 
There once was a king named Cole
He climbed up a telephone pole
At the top he exclaimed
I cannot be blamed
For my kingdom’s economic hole
 
A friend of mine went to the woods
There he met a couple of hoods
They demanded his money
They thought it was funny
Until he showed them the goods
