More limerick nonsense...

Poem Artwork

Limericks X

There once was a tall lumberjack
Who carried an ox on his back.
The ox was all blue;
Babe, its name, it's true
Some folks say that ox was a yak

There's a kitten that's known as Boots
With Katie she's in cahoots
Together they dream
Up another scheme
So they can dethrone Puss 'n boots

There was an old lady named Hubbard;
She kept a dog, fish and bird.
She had fish food and bird seed,
But nothing to feed
Her poor dog that barked not a word.

There's a man whose name is McPhail
He wanted to acquire some quail
For no other reason
He shot out of season
Now quail hunter McPhail is in jail

I once met a gal named Monique
She owned an exotic boutique
The toys that she sold
Were really quite bold
All of them required technique

Trébec is a man from Québec
He drives a rickety wreck
It's an old Fargo
He bought from Margo
Who still has not seen the check

A detective named Columbo
Had a penchant for local gumbo
One day on a case
He rushed to home base
For a plate of gumbo combo

When I met this gal named Katie;
She yelled, “Ahoy there, matey!”
So as you can see,
We set off to sea
On a ship named “The Overwaitea.”

A lovely princess named Tess
Is a wizard at playing chess
She wins all of her games
Defeats famous names
Yes Tess is a champion no less

I once knew a girl from Tijuana
She loved to smoke marijuana
But once she was high
She would whimper and cry
Until I let her pat my iguana

I didn't know girls from Tijuana liked iguanas! I learned something new. LOL

I still think you should do a series of them based on AD names.

Regis :

If someone can fill a 100 page book with nothing but Haiku's
then you can certainly put a book together with nothing but
cute limericks that would be absolutely amusing.

My friend you have found a fabulous niche.

REG - QUITE WELL DONE, LAD!

There once was a man from A.D.
Who wrote limericks for free -
Although he loved Haggis -
Too much sickened Regis -
And his Iguana could no longer Pee!

Regis, as the master of the limerick, you should publish a book of them to share with others -- "Trebec", your man from Quebec, captured my top award -- after all he absconded with Margo's, "Fargo" -- peace and love my friend -- Jon Michael

I met a girl in San Felipe, a half gallon of Tequila I bought she. "Drink it here." She exclaimed. "i'm taking it home." I left brained. At the California border, they caught me.

Not really. Escaped confiscation by going through Arizona with that Iguana [not really].

As usual, great limericks. I'm not touching that Iguana with a ten foot pole.
