Beware of the toll of holiday feasts!
Cinnamon Rolls
It was quite a dainty sight--
men and women wearing white--
double duty ... day and night ...
major stress before daylight.
They line up early
for Cinnamon Rolls--
sugar and flour
scatter, jump, squat ... go!
There was much publicity--
openness, simplicity.
Oh, the hypocracy
that showed multipicity.
Volunteers galore
came and were submerged
into vats of dough!
Ever get that urge?
As if it even matters,
they laid on silver platters ...
fresh from cinnamon splatters.
Folks sprawled, some baked, tattered.
Many flock to fads--
whatever is new--
following the crowd
even if it kills you.
Sweet cinnamon rolls--
as everyone knows--
extract a huge toll.

must have gained at least 10 pounds
what am I to do in my golden years with my fat butt here?????
punish myself and place myself on a diet of "bread & water"????
I wish i could but I am a diabetic.......
