The season changes, and the grass begins to grow.

Photo courtesy of livehdwallpaper.com Oh, grass, you're springing to life once more. You've awakened from months of wintry slumber. Gentle rains have begun to quench your thirst. Rich soil offers you nutrition as a gift from God. All your blades are turning a most celebrated green. Your unclothed spots are fading before my eyes. The delicate scent of your freshness is in the air. Dandelions dot and brighten your color all the more. Robins are bouncing about on your carpet of green. Soon my bare feet will touch your warmth again. And I shall rest upon a bed of emerald. © 2009 by David Lee Thompson

A CHANGE IN THE SEASON IS SOMETHING WE CAN ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT WE WON'T EVER BE DISAPPOINTED WITH IT NOT SHOWING UP. Your poem is beautiful and I can relate completely to its message. Today I walked around my lawn, thinking how green everything is now from just a while back when the grass was the color of straw.
