The frustration of too much technology versus old school dummy

Red Neck Tech,

Reckon I need to tell you all, I ain’t no kinda Bit Head,
They’re computer programmers is what somebody said,

There’s other names like computer geeks for all your PC’s,
And with this computer thing, I should a got one of these,

They say you gotta be computer literate which I surely ain’t,
And make sense outta computer language , which I surely cain’t,

Gibberish is what I called it, didn’t make alotta sense to me,
Rather than sending it to land fill, I gave it a lookie see,

Surprised I was, I learned how to make the blame thing go,
A couple years of frustration, and success began to show,

Not much , you understand but, now with angry screams,
It’s still a nightmare of harassment, at least, to me it seems ,

Poor memory and high technology will never ever mix,
Every day I get messages of something I need to fix,

No I don’t need a new browser, I cain’t use one anyhow,
God forbid another update, I’m too confused too often now,

And we no longer support, what a joke that would be,
Gimme a break , I never had use for the one they sold to me,

Couldn’t get rid of some things , pretty dumb , I guess,
All them green and red lines under my writing, man they are a mess,

You want my data so you can unsubscribe me; not !
You’re the same outfit with that wonderful prize I never got,

Are you sure you want to delete me maybe your finger jerked,
No I just needed to check and see if my delete still worked,

No I ain’t got a minute to answer your half hour survey ,
Just dogging me for more of what I never wanted anyway,

And yeah! a market crash will surely put me on the rocks,
I’ll lose all the twenty dollars I’ve got left in penny stocks,

Someone attempted to change your pass word for the work it does,
Goody goody, tell me! I been wondering what it was,

Speakin of pass words I forgot, the net will never fail,
We’re sending you a code number on your account email,

How wonderful is that? Do you think that helps a lot?
Thanks a bundle blondie , it’s the email password I forgot,

You say I need to down load this new window I will love,
Wrong! I need to find a window to throw this damn thing out of !

Sometimes it bees that way, don't it? Never got that mad to get destructive with any blasted equipment. But I was mad at the people who assume so many things about their customers that are totally wrong. Why are these "short" surveys so dern stupid and long? To get our information to send us more business ad come-ons!

If you don't upgrade, you die. It's a known fact.

Your writing' program has a nasty glitch. It puts a space after words that are followed by a punctuation mark , like this . Tell the dumb machine to fix it!

Delightful, a glorious repellation of the repellant technology that I for one love and lament. Witty, gleeful, accurate. Your cleverness is always by your side as you write…much as a faithful dog can be. ~~ djl

Bonjour Tom! You got it all right digging up and posting what ALL of us (excepting programmers) think/thought and cursed under-breath, ALL victims of the need to click and clap one another at the wink of an eye, this terrible need/angst for being acknowledged and appreciated. Aren't we all slaves to our own egos???

I must say (for one who pretends to shy away from the nitty-gritty of technology: 'They say you gotta be computer literate which I surely ain’t,
And make sense outta computer language , which I surely cain’t,' ), here in these lines you are back in your own special vitriolic takes on your fellowmen's foibles (might I say as a NASA engineer yourself) with almost perfectly tuned sense of rhyme, counterpoint and repartee (you who in your bio despised well proof-read texts and grammatical chastity) - What got into ya, Tom? Second thoughts about yourself, Tom??? One for the future "chrestomatie"!
