Trying to get back in the fun lane with a little gambling laugh

Casino Welfare

I think every military fort in our early west was a bad move to begin,
They’ve been replaced with casinos- Hello, the Indians win!

All the gambling casinos enjoy a little monthly welfare,
You say Oh no, come on Tom, that statement can’t be fair,

I know you think the truth from me is always kinda rare,
Well let’s take a look to see and doubt it if you dare,

The busiest time for casino’s is the crowded second week,
I’ve tested out this theory with my usual losing streak,

Checks arrive the first week of the month, so the second week is the thriller,
But some folks buy their groceries first ,for casino’s that’s a killer,

I think I’m a donator not much of a gambling man,
But I never come home totally broke if I find an aluminum can,

You know all of them there slot machines have a percent returned,
But I reckon I pick the bad ones. I’m forever gittin burned,

One said ninety five percent, hot dog baby, that’s a lot,
Somehow or other I read it wrong five percent is what I got,

In leaving, wife ask why’s that guy so happy, he has no money sack,
I said, cause his rear end still looks normal and his shirt is on his back!

Good Luck!

My dad was a long time Teamster, so when he retired he got a pension. Had to go to Lost Wages to check on his pension fund. ;-)

Visited one once in California. Had to get there from Nevada and take a boat from the London Bridge (real, authentic, old London Bridge) across the Colorado to get there. Nice folks, took my money with pleasure. One time in Reno, an attendant had to tell me that the slot machine that I just left to try my luck on a poker machine (don't, they have bad odds) hit a jackpot for the very next guy that tried the machine.

In retirement, mom and dad never passed an Indian casino without stopping. Mom set strict limits on what they would spend, but dad got all the jackpots and bragged about them. My frugal little brain wonders what his net winnings were? I'll bet they were actually negative. Only the casino wins and the Indians are raking it in. Reparations at last!

I doubt it, Tom, and I do you dare ! 'Cos I've never been in a Casino nor never played the "welfare" machine. Do they really let you have something back from your losses? Sounds odd to me. As usual, Boss Lady put you "back" on track. What would you do without her, though your dig in the "back" wouldn't let you keep your shirt on for longer than a Polar Summer Night ! Enjoyed but not that much. Good Luck next time.
