I came out of the bar
And
There they were
Creeping
In the shadows
At the edge
Of the parking lot

First
There was one
Then Two
Then Three
Then Four

Their masks
Eternally in place
They looked at me
With beady eyes

I wondered
What I might have to give them...
They certainly weren't impressed
With my leftover dinner of
Mega-Spaghetti

At length
I tossed them some crackers
And they scrambled to get them
And made their escape

I idly thought of capturing one of them
Then thought better of it
It could have ended badly
One never knows
How they'll react
When they're cornered

Still
It's always cool
Getting to feed
A pack of raccoons
