To the Members of Congress:

We paid the price, in full, with
our service and sacrifice,
even if we didn't see
a battlefield. We kept our

word, which is more than we can
say for you. Every day
should be Veteran's Day, not
just one set aside so you

can pat U.S. on the back and
say, 'Thank you for your service.'
We deserve far better: we
should not be on the streets, we

should not be going hungry,
we should not be worried if
we'll get our next paycheck (the
one we earned with our blood, sweat

and tears): you only want U.S.
for our vote or to tell the
world how good you are because
YOU support the troops! Bitter?

Damn right. Republican or
Democrat, put your money
where your mouth is. We're watching,
and you bet we'll remember.
