i often get chastened
for omitting punctuation
for not capitalizing my i's
they have branded me unwise
thought mister ee paved the way
he was a pioneer poet in his day
since we share the same name
on him i will dump blame
so if i emulate him
is it his sin
if words are raw
have we broken the law
some comments don’t make any sense
unless the poetry police revoked my license
