I love deer; used to see them all the time in Ohio! (Haven't seen any here in Texas but maybe once or twice. Guess too much city busyness for them ... ) LOVE the pic and this delightful poem; well done, Patrick!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :D
I recently learned that, for part of the 20th century, white tailed deer were wiped out in Ohio, but now have come back strong. There are also five times as many Whitetail deer in Wisconsin as there was when I was hunting them in the 1950s. I've always love watching deer and have had ample opportunity to review them in herds of up to 30 at a time. Your poem reminded me of their quiet beauty.
Simply delightful, Patrick. "My" deer only number between two and four it seems and they are not at all punctual. Thanks for sharing. Much enjoyed. Love and peace,
Patrick, this is so neat. Haven't seen a deer up close in over 20 years since moving from Michigan. They are lovely creatures to all, except the farmers. (and maybe the truckers or anyone who has ever "accidentally" encountered one.) Nice photo too. She looks real curious.
I am blessed to see deer by my work place, and yesterday one decided to sit for a spell. That was cool. I saw a few on my way to work this morning. Nice way to start the day-
as is this poem.
Great write, Patrick. I can well relate to your friends as we have ours that do about the same thing everyday. Well done.
