The April 3, 1974 tornado devastated Xenia, Ohio and left more than 30 people dead. Our home was directly in the usual path of the tornado but, that day, it turned 200 yards to the rear of our home due to (I believe)
Divine intervention.

two tornadoes wrap, merge, together.
Sofa upended, on my knees:
"God do save my children, please" ...
willing to die for either.
The vile winds were grasped, they turned,
God's hands covered us. He ruled!
Witness to catastrophe--
no one has immunity.
Faith, mutilated, restored.
Believing eclipses the storm
with His comforting presence.
The ultimate Sacrifice
deserves praise, heed His advice.
Thank You, Lord, for saving me.
Voluptuous twisters merged,
suspended doubt, inaction,
via aerial trapeze.
