Holiness lies in the pre-dawn hour,
In the wake of night’s dying power.
Nature’s beauty again comes alive,
Light of Heaven shines forth to thrive.
Future shimmers in dawn’s awakening,
The past lays down, it’s life forsaking.
From the womb of earth’s turning,
Light upon the horizon now burning.
Because this birth happens once a day,
Harvest fields fill up with ripened hay.
Just as morning dew hovers and flies,
So also evening dust settles and dies.
The miracle of dawn announced by birds,
Night’s silence broken by light, not words.
Who was it that asked for the day?
Did we have anything at all to say?
The sun’s rays shine like flaming torches,
Mingling defiantly with cloud arches.
When dawn is over, who remembers when,
Light shows us what we have always been.
Explore the mystery of how nature makes unexpected gifts of creative wonders to an unsuspecting caregiver one late night and early morning in southeastern Georgia, USA.
Love ya!
