The dark clouds open as drops rain down,
The sky’s face seems turned into a frown.
The little kids looked at the rain in wonder,
Never seen it before, never heard thunder.
They ran out onto the porch, little feet wet,
A puppy ran about in circles looking upset.
The joy of rain as only little children know,
Blessing from Heaven only God can bestow.
They raised their arms at the glorious creation,
They opened their mouths in sweet anticipation.
They shook their heads and stomped their feet,
They closed their eyelids ticklish drops to meet.
Only Mother Nature could explain to them better,
How the sunny day could suddenly become wetter.
Even the most drab rainy day can be brightened by children playing in the puddles and hearing them squealing and giggling! Ah, memories of my childhood as well. 'Love this so much!
Ahhh! This one brings back so many memories. We've all done that. I was in Hong Kong when I was a small girl, and I loved the rain. It pours down like Niagara Falls. When the streets are flooded that's when we had the most fun. Heeeheee!!!!
