Ah, the delicacy, the beauty, of the pasque flower,

A noble emperor of flowers in the garden bower.

Such whimsical loveliness not ever heard of before,

Reigns quietly in mountain meadows forevermore.

Named after and now known for Easter Passover,

The blooms as magical and rich as four-leaf clover.

Truly its regal color purple with emperors aligned,

While its downy exotic petals with perfume signed.

Known alternatively as wind, prairie, Easter flower,

Legend speaks of its mystique of mysterious power.

Cloaked in myth as growing nearby boundary lanes,

Earth once soaked in blood of Romans and Danes.

If this wild flower whispers in wind as a bell tolled,

Let it be know as a flower with this legacy to hold.
