Salt water does run in my veins…

Poem Artwork

Born in & of the ocean,

Sustained by its breezes,

Maintained by its scent,

From heaven my ocean is sent…

Part & parcel am I of the grains of sand,

Between my toes it gathers as well in my hand,

As I grew the beach & ocean did treat me most grand,

Of that my favorite place never was I banned…

I cry big tears for my ocean depths,

Mans trash & waste there has not found its place,

Fewer fish do there exist,

Before we do travel to outer space,

We must know more about our planets inner grace…

how fortunate you are to be able to reside with the ocean beside you always. Always was my greatest wish to live at ocean front property. Never will happen though. ENJOY THAT SALT AIR EVERYDAY FOR ME AND DRINKIN IN THE SMELL OF THE SEA. GREAT DAY TO YOU ALWAYS.

We must know more about our planets inner grace…

And we very sadly don't have much time left. Your beloved Mother Ocean truly is in dire shape today, as are my beloved lakes and forests.

For all our supposed intelligence, we human beings don't seem to be very smart.

As a sea lover and old salt myself (Nova Scotians are often referred to as "Bluenosers" because of the amount of time our forefathers spend on the cold North Atlantic)I love this write and the kindred spirit we seem to share.

Hi Ed,
I have lived many places always near the sea....now living in Australia close to the beach, we have to be grateful for how wonderful life can truly be.
Enjoy your freedom, as I enjoyed your writing.
All the best my friend, Stuart from Australia and North/East England
