What Hurricane...?

Poem Artwork

A small amount of a breeze,

Very little & spread out showers,

Enough to keep petals on our flowers,

Of course we are 35 miles inland,

But the beach got raped, I’m sure,

Wish though I was there at the shore…

Been under the weather here,

An infection within,

Ain’t it a sin,

A beautiful storm day,

And I get to stay home due to a physical mickey finn…

But in the future there will be others,

Storms are a dime a dozen,

To me storms are like an every so often cousin,

There when you don’t need them,

And never there the rest of the time, exactly of my druthers…

Feel and be well, Edbear. xxx Storms and accidents are very mysterious things: unless you are personally caught up in them, it's very difficult to get your head around the impact, especially if feeling a little "under the weather" yourself anyways. I remember once being caught up in a very bad snowstorm on a treacherous hill only five minutes away from home... I nearly slithered off the side of the road and into a gulley, but when I walked through the front door in a state of shock, none of my family had even been aware it was even snowing and were carrying on as normal... Very weird to experience! xx

I love storms! The tension they bring with them is mesmerizing. Too often storms are hyped up by the media and turn out to be duds.

Peace,
Dayvid
