Last night it went down to eight,

So I did not stay up too late,

I slid between my warm down comforter,

Sometimes in the cold I wish I didn’t lose all that weight…

Tonight though its outside quite balmy,

Though maybe it’s the sandwich I did eat,

Made it from some bread, salami, & pastrami,

Threw in a small amount as well of pepperoni,

A sandwich like this cannot in winter be beat…

But who cares, as tonight is, in comparison, to last night quite warm,

In the winter these changes in temperature are not the norm,

Usually we see, often, an ice or snow storm,

But tonight it is too balmy, & I don’t want to of you misinform,

But the temp here tonight is a balmy 13 above zero,
