O’er the waves he does glide,

Watching for food underwater that does by slide,

Watches man & his world as well,

He knows that man has from Gods grace fell…

He only does converse with his kind,

And this he does not in anyway mind,

All gulls are of a higher self than is man,

As he does, his brethren do what they can…

He knows of times past,

The gull will keep track of it till the last,

When man does of this earth give up his reign,

The seagull will muddle onward as the earth is as well his domain…
