Rain can bring devastation, but it can be SO comforting too…
Remembrances of cosy days, warm and dry while the rain
pelted down…
we need comfort in these strange times…
any way we can get it…
I love the rain. We used to be called "the wet coast" here (a play on the West Coast). Those days are long gone. The effect of climate change is so obvious here (as I know it is all over the world but it is more overtly evident in some places than others) and it is disheartening to witness how slowly governments and so-called leaders have initiated action. Enjoy the rain, Ed... ...and send any that you can spare down this way. By the way, you meant to write "lightning". Sorry, it's the teacher in me after over thirty years of teaching high school. 🤣 Love and peace to you, Ed.
I'm sure you're thankful for the "wee hours" fertility. It's amazing that you're still interested in poeticizing after producing over 6000 poems. Quite a feat Ed. Could be a world record. All the best. r
Glad that you found the rain pleasant. I was a bit worried about you in the path of that storm that killed so money in the Northeast from a little too much of a good thing. There's more coming, I hear.
