Not sure who started the challenge for a poem on Winter, but I felt the urge to put my 2 bits in, so here you are...enjoy

 “WINTERTIME”

Wintertime winds, they come ahowlin’

Like a werewolf on a full moon,

Snow leaves teeth marks on exposed

skin,

No place to run, no place to hide,

Only a feeling of impending doom.

Oh my, fear for your life,

With winters storm approach,

Protect your children & your wife,

From the coming frozen strife.

If you love them, don’t ignore,

The chance that wintertime is a

whore.

A whore of death from frozen digits,

And don’t forget to protect your own

small midget,

As that can play an important role,

Someday in someone’s hole.

We should all be wary,

For arrived, has winters whore,

Seeking as may deaths as she can

score,

Before warmth & sun from summer

returns.

To end with all due haste,

  Winters frozen grasp…

Fantastic approach, Ed. Wintertime is really a beautiful, yet dangerous, season--as is the heat of the summer. Snow yields inner peace, so serene, so calm--yet lurking. b

Now this will give someone the deep freeze! Great addition to the challenge!
