The winds howl and puff.

The trees sway and shake.

The blue skies disappear.

Dark clouds conceal them.

The noon sun disappears, and it looks like it's setting, even though the day is still young.

Lo and behold, rain is here!

In parts of the world where there are monsoons, when rain comes, like your poem, it is a time for celebration. In other parts of the world, it just ruins an otherwise, good day.
