Using dog humor to voice my frustration with drawn out On- Line advertising

Poem Artwork

Dogs Lick their Paws

Computer on line selling, it really is a mess,
Allowing a hundred commercials while hearing their BS,

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! I know, hound dogs lick their paws,
Please give me an honest answer as to what’s the cause,

Forty five minutes of professional and learned expertise,
As to why my hound dog licks his feet would you just tell me please,

And what’s this miracle guaranteed cure you tell me, you’ll reveal,
You say hang on for a minute, it’s not a bargain , it’s a steal,

Forty five minutes later . I know how wonderful you are,
I know your lucid history, you’re way above the par,

In the vet field you are famous but I never heard the name,
You say , you cured a thousand dogs back from where you came,

But what’s this miracle cure you’ve been trying now to push,
I’ve wasted half an hour while you’re beating around the bush,

You’ve got me now convinced, I never should have, bothered ,
Staying awake, and listening to, this fairy tale you fathered,

In desperation, I ordered up, this non paw lickin pill,
I thought with such tremendous value , I should leave it in my will,

All these first name accolades with praise beyond belief,
I said wake up hound dog , try these for relief ,

Hound dog weren’t impressed, that quick fix I could keep,
And stick them pills you know where, I gotta lick my feet !

As usual, while your lines amuse and educate is that last line that is the real deal!

But I still don't know why my dog eats grass and roaches for a snack. If I throw a stick, he looks at it and then looks at me, as if wondering why I don't go get it.

Lickin' feet is quite effete,
But lickin' privates still can't be beat!
Our doggos teach lessons all should heed,
about the foibles of our human breed!
Our complex thoughts 'though quite sincere,
Just cannot beat logic our dogs volunteer!
[As I write this, my Husky winks & grins
As if to say..."My species wins!"]

Doggone if there's not a lot of possibilities in all this doggerel, Tom! Thanks for setting the wheels of imagination spinning once again in my increasingly overloaded urban brain!

Won't do, Tom, just whining about advertising drudgery... There's no bite, nor kicks, just an ineffective side-kick at some pill that would keep dogs from licking their paws like a certain growing number of commentators on AD. Best if you let Madame la Boss censor your second-bests first. There are far too many rhymers on AD already for you to shine with this limp-paw putdown on poor nothing-to-do-all-day doggies. Besides the poor doggie too looks stumped. No use taking it out on the creature for the lack of wit. Next time, perhaps, to make amends for this lacune!!!
