This was written for a very close friend of mine, after a chat. Whilst chatting I was being told about what was going on at that point in time, then suddenly the connection went dead... My friend is well, but sadly there were some who were killed... father, brother, sister mother, son or daughter... it's a thought !!!

Atrocities of ANY war in any country are despicable...

A World Reflecting Madness

In a world reflecting madness and insanity
Where human life is seemingly meaningless
Where overhead air raids screech
And shriek with ear piercing shrills
Or the deafening explosive thunder
Of destructive flying missiles
Firing, bombarding and bombing
Leaving behind wreckage and destruction
And dread within the hearts of innocents
Where fear is etched on solemn faces
Where pain in silent eyes is seen
And mouths utter voiceless words
Where tears bleed from the heart
And devastation is a bitter pill
Another life just obliterated
Where upon a patch of dusty earth
The sombre smell of death permeates

There you may find;
A mother who grieves with bereavement
Or a wife who mourns the pain of sacrifice
A husband who laments the irretrievable loss
And a child who keens for the dead
But the damage of hatred is etched
Like the corrosive virulent venom
As bitterness and evil compound
Where hostility spreads like a cancer
And animosity, sharpness and rancour
Like malevolent shadows stalk
Elusive and mortifyingly evasive
Striking at the most inopportune moments

This was difficult to view, but necessary to share with the world. Only when these images are shown can the reality and true horrors of war come to the light of day...

Despicable is not strong enough! Good for you for speaking out.
The killing and maiming has to stop! God help us if we don't find a way to turn things around in this country. Need to set an example!!
Blessings always, 'Pea' <3

And the beat goes on....

One Of Australia's greatest funny men)Actor made a statement in his first movie hit, Crocodile Dundee,
" The Aborigines don't own the land, they belong to it, so arguing over who owns it, is like two flea's arguing over the dog they are hitching a ride on"

This is true of every nation upon this earth, we dont own it, we belong to it, God owns it, and all this senseless slaying is all for the love of dirt, and power, while innocence suffers.
A wonderful write on a very dirty subject, well done.

Elga,

What I ever failed to understand is how one can hate another without ever having known the other. My prayer is for Peace and Love Always, Paul.

You are right. The world is reflecting madness more than ever. If we do not change, we won't have to worry anymore. There won't be a world; at least not this one. Thank you for the sobering and ŕ propos thoughts, Elga. Love and peace to you.

Powerful write Elga, we are much on the same page tonight. Your "world reflecting madness" carries a most profound statement. Heartache is the same for all. Excellent write.

Death and destruction. Ever wonder why there are those that want IT? Those that harass until they GET it? In the name of religion? It has been this way through the ages. The Crusades, The Protestant and Catholic in Ireland and so many, many more. This line, "Where overhead air raids screech" needed one below it which said, "Suicide bombers strike again."

Pictures and words so powerful and graphic they hurt the heart and soul of anyone with a conscience. Well said Elga.
