The air is a stagnant entity, pressing down like a blanket.
Lungs spasm like a bellows, trying to draw a deep breath.
Humidity chokes mankind, encourages green, growing things.

I hate humidity, which is why I chose California over Florida to retire to. My heart goes out to you if you still have that migraine, and humidity too! Great Sijo!

Oh how this makes me recall how it was when I lived in a humid place, Karla. Hard to breathe, impossible to cool down and a certain kind of lazy feeling that strangles the desire to enjoy the beauty that the humidity itself paints upon the earth. Beautiful poetry.
Take care,
Sherry

Lime green shades are everywhere here in the south. Pinks and pale yellows, lavendars and purples, pinks, fuschia and red...all a rainbow. After a rain there is a keener glow. Isn't nature an amazing artist.
Love and peace,
Susan

Wow...another stunning and sensational sijo, that describes a hot and humid day in good ole Texas perfectly...
Watch out for those devilish twisters, they are supposed to be on their way back to the South and West !
I adore that picture...:)
Love and Blessings
Peter
