... inhaled deeply into the lungs,
the fresh-cut aroma of grass
and the last scents of Summer.

Perhaps during Winter's long,
cold darkness, I will exhale and
feel it once more on my skin ...

summer's scents are nice, but I prefer the cool crispness of autumn and harvest and the growing season coming to a close...
I love the image of your last stanza though...memories help keep us warm.
