According to the Department of Defense, Sgt William Moody, of Burleson, TX, was one of four soldiers killed Tuesday, June 18, in Bagram, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their unit with indirect fire. The Taliban has claimed responsibility.
They were all assigned to the 68th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 43rd Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.
Sgt Moody leaves behind a wife, three children and a community that will never forget him. RIP, Sir. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
I met a HERO today: a Mom who will be laying her son to rest in two days. While others celebrate their Independence, she will be saying 'Good-bye' to her child ---
