This has been such a perfect summer here in Atlantic Canada! It truly was "Bliss".......

Poem Artwork

 

Touching the wind with my fingertips,
In the sultry summer air,
Faces in the gossamer clouds
Scattered here and there!
Sunshine dappled butterflies,
Floral bouquets abound,
My heart sings beautiful melodies,
Without a single sound!
Beautiful trees in vibrant green,
Their graceful ballet a treat,
Keeping time with the gentle breeze,
In the rapture of summer’s heat!
Senses tingling with pleasure,
My thoughts soon drift away,
Wrapped in nature’s warm embrace,
On a perfect sunny day!

You were drawing a picture of that wharf across the water. Didn't know you had this shot. Wouldn't you just love to be back there now? I'm glad we booked next summer already. It will get us through winter, just knowing we have this to look forward to again next year. Love this.

Sounds great to me. I'm coming over to take a summer snooze on your deck and sample your butterflies. It was 106 here yesterday. My car thermometer said 120 but it lies a lot. Patrick

How absolutely beautiful, Annabel. Where I live, About 40 miles north-west of Los Angels, we are cooled a bit by the ocean on the otherside of the Santa Monica mountain range, so we're just begining to feel the real heat of summer. And though we have year round greenery, our greens are nowhere as vibrant as those in damper climate, and I do miss the colors as you so aptly describe in your beautiful poem.
