Aiy, you make my day, Regis. I love your humor. The autobiographical start really did it right for me. I believe you can probably chew bureaucrat just as well as you can love a beautiful woman.....Jerry
You first put some light mon my face, then a smile was born which later progressed to a full blown laugh. Thanks dear Regis for this wonderful, soul-touching peice.
Love, love, love these Beautiful, incredibly creative, uplifting Regis!! The world needs these... (I wish TRASK would allow himself to enjoy them too...)
I especially love the Fawn one... being a cat and bird lover!!
These are deliciously humorous Reg. I especially like the first one about the bureaucrat. Thank you for sharing.
May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie.

hooooooooooooow delightful Regis..indeed you have the knack!!
Splendid work!
LOL! Regis I have been away from AD for a while. this is so creative as usual specially the last paragraph. You really do have a witty way with words! Beautiful
Regis, the man from Bath has my attention -- most of Sage Sweetwater's questions regarding how he divides his bath, immediately came to mind -- thanks for the humorous pick me-up -- peace and love my friend -- Jon Michael
Regis, you give us a gift that gives us a lift. I wonder, the last limerick, if the fellow, when he divides his bath, if one side is hot and one side is cold? If one side has bubbles and the other sea salts, if one side is hers and one side is his?
and with this mule stricking the cutest pose, as I read your newly penned prose I too am exposed...to your limericks you have composed
Love & Blessings 2U Regis!
Vickie
Oh Regis, I just love limericks!! This was a really funny one and so well done, poem wise. I must practice these more since they are my favorite type of poem. I just tried one and it was okay but I'm not sure if was a true limerick.
This are great Regis
and you seem to be the best at them
One of these days I'll have to
Try one myself...
Thanks for sharing
Peace be with you
William

to the one with the cat, just the opposite tho
she wakes me up quite forcefully every morning.
Really enjoy these.

... oooo... keep sayin it, but tis true... you just keep gettin better and betterer at these, Regis... You need to tongue-twist-and-tie with Bureaucratic Boors more often, but then, we all know who the donkey would be! :)) Can particularly relate to the Bath stanza, hailing from that World Heritage City in England as I do... think I know this guy, multiplying in bed and his long-division inevitably means that I get the taps! :)) xx

The one thing that's comforting about visiting your site, Mr. Auffray, is in knowing that no matter what I read here, it will always be first class. And for that I thank you, again.
Thanks for your picture, too. I'd recognize you anywhere. (But do you have a cold or something?)

Hi Regis
Thanks for the smiles you brought. Cheers! Liz
That first one is a classic... hee, hee... But my favorite one is the one about Katie; although I am wishing she did live in Haiti! What a different world it would be down there if fewer people would accept a bribe... sigh...
awww ...had missed your limericks....just fabulous...sheer delight...how wonderfully versed....you are a genius on limericks....with Bath men and Auffray and bray...tee hee hee hee...
good to read one of your writes after a veryyyy long time dear friend Regis...and that too your witty ones...
best wishes always

These are all funny, Regis, especially the first one, linked with the picture above. That "bureaucrat foolish" met his match when he tangled with you!

You have your mission in life...we should dub you the limerick lethario...
There once was a guy named Reg,
most thought he lived life on the edge
he learned the magic of rhyme,
now does it all the time
and from his gift he does not hedge.

Lovely, "New!!! from Regis..." made my morning colorful.
Homer's Ill Iliad & Odd Sea Odyssey (420 pages) is an adult satire/parody rewrite of the classic stories of the 10 year Trojan War and of the 10 year adventure of Odysseus trying to return home to his native Ithaca.
Deputy Dave Jenkins sets out to find the murderer of the local high school principal, aided by a voice from the grave that is sometimes helpful and sometimes misleading.
"Murder isn't usually this funny."
