You know, sometimes we may get the feeling that ideas are just not coming to us. We have been writing in a certain genre but somehow, it has grown stale. You know, sometimes we may get the feeling that ideas are just not coming to us. We have been writing in a certain genre but somehow, it has grown stale.
But yet, new ideas seem to flow to us from different sources. You overhear something funny and you think, “Hey, I can do something with that.” But then you realize you have never written anything with a comedic edge.
So now may be the time to try it! Now may be the time to try a different way; to go in an area where your thoughts are running wild with possibilities. This is your inner self calling you to expand your horizons. Go where your thought leads you. So what if it’s a different style of writing. Who says that once our first novel gets out there that every successive thing we write has to be in the vein?
If you’re not feeling it in one area then go in the direction you are and expand your horizons. You can do it if you think you can. Just get going.
