Have faith in yourself and in your ability to put pen to paper. When you do, the words will come. It is when we doubt and put writing off (or don’t let anyone know that we have a book/books available) that we tend to fall by the wayside.
Have faith in yourself and in your ability to put pen to paper. When you do, the words will come. It is when we doubt and put writing off (or don’t let anyone know that we have a book/books available) that we tend to fall by the wayside.
Believe that people want to read what you have to say. Believe that what you write is worth someone’s time to read it. Be proud of what you write. Pass out business cards with your latest book’s name on it and your contact information. Make your book part of the conversation. You don’t have to monopolize a whole conversation about it, but take a moment to mention it and hand out a card. If people are interested then they will either ask you more about it or look it up online. But if they don’t know anything about it then they can’t do either of those things.
Don’t be shy. You can do it. Now get the word out there.
