Some mornings look good enough to eat!
*******************
Strawberry Sunday served with clouds, whipped;
night left fudging ... in nuts was dipped.
Delicious dollups this morning dripped
from heaven's crystal, cherry-topped bowl.
Cool, creamy, licking, my lips slurp, fools!
Devouring morn's frothiness ... hunger rules.
Sundaes are best served a little chilled--
a day to rest, love, not be killed.
To heck with money, life itself thrills
in earthen crocks, that talks and walks ... go.
Bits of strawberries in ev'ry bite ...
an edible morning of sheer delight.
Strawberries gone, vanilla remains,
fudge, rippled, dribbled; nuts fell insane.
Vanilla lightly blued ... all in vain;
liquified in the torrential rain;
the pineapples had a game to poll.
We'd engorged on the strawberry plied
out of Sunday's delicious red sky.
