Water, sky, sand, the tropics ... ummm ... love 'em all :)! This helps me survive in the 'snow zone' in Oregon :).

Poem Artwork

Dipping my toes deep in damp sand, feeling the ocean licking land,
troubles roll … ease off of my toe and I thrive, more heartily stand.
Heat saunters down, falling around, cascades on my feet … kisses, sweet.
Sweating in passion, in latest fashion, anxiously my heart beats
where sky, sand and water twine, meet.

The vast horizon my eyes can’t breech, reaching over the golden beach.
Fingers dangle leather. I glow … bathed, engorged by skies fanned yellow.
Brimming over with life the waves don’t expulse any thing--bodies, graves.
Many swallowed by the ocean were drawn by swelling emotion
where sky, sand and water twine, meet.
Dishing out sublime, amber shine, the sun paints blushing flesh pale wine.
Some canvas she finger-paints slow, teasing them. She leaves them burnt so~
serene, salty sea foam, Goddess, sands them coarse, to new flesh … modest.
Born anew in tropical hue bask under her eyes, need to view
where sky, sand and water twine, meet.

Mistresses of ev’ry mind. She, Tropics, drowns worries, ev’ry kind.
Svelte, pristine, Earths’ queen, serene is envied by silver moon streams.
Humans are putty she sculpts, shapes … searching with her many fingers
We roll in waves of ecstasy fulfilling dreams, each fantasy
where sky, sand and water twine, meet.

I just left my winter and spent a few days on a beach in Florida. For some reason, cheating that way makes it even more special. This very nice poem brings back those happy memories. Thanks.
