When heavy storms rage
I stand by the window
Staring at those clouds
As the wind blows
Dark clouds hang heavy on my mind
Its fury claimed my friends
And left me behind
With babies in their arms
Or cradled in their womb
The wind sweep them in its arms;
On a whirlwind honeymoon
And it hangs so heavy on my mind
I fear thunder and rain
How powerless we are
Glaring through windows
As dreams shatter
Dark clouds hang heavy on my mind
Its fury claimed my friends
And left me behind
With babies in their arms
Or cradled in their womb
The wind sweep them in its arms;
On a whirlwind honeymoon
And it hangs so heavy on my mind
Nature humbles us;
We crouch in fear
It's hard to be brave
Clinging to the ground
Dark clouds hang heavy on my mind
Its fury claimed my friends
And left me behind
Angels extended their arms
And St. Peter made room
The whirlwind raised our alarm
Took them somewhere past the moon
And it hangs so heavy on my mind
