Great swells, turquoise with foam peaks,
hush pristine beached grains of sand
sparkling with sprinkles of sun.
Can you see its' magnificence
or is it only a mem’ry?
Distant fingers of fog lay low
waiting to sail in heavy waves.
Dazzling ripples, wearing taps,
steal applause on the sandy stage,
where only the native things play.
Sea gulls feast in the frothy peaks.
Birds, envious, watch in copse of trees
that skirt the salty blue charade.
Clear skies mirror her majesty
who's seeped in velvety blues.
A purplish haze precedes dark
and acoustical alchemy
reverberates in ev’ry breeze.
The ebb and flow of turquoise
leaves remnants in the niche of time
on hushed, pristine, beached, sandy grains.
