A parade of smiles.

Bring out the monkeys; send in the clown.
Follow the circus going through town.
Hear the lion roar
passing by your door.
Let the elephants bear their own trunks
as they bed down at night with the ‘munks’.
I love the trapeze
and swing it with ease.
Pitching the colorful tents around
smiles and music abounds.
Singing artists . . . a delightful sound
I love clowns’ big shoes,
the clothing they chose.
Clowns make living life seem so jolly
but everything is but ‘folly’ . . .
sharing smiles, spreading glee
for all the world to see.
Let me prance in colorful clown wigs
in a parade, in aisles of smiles.
I don’t need an audience or ‘gigs’
to share sincere laughter
now . . . or hereafter.
I am, honestly, a clown internally
and for all eternity.
