Leaf so alone it's fallen quite far from the tree that was once nourishing. It blows every which way the breeze may go. Leaf scarlet, rust it's been thrust from those it should trust. Soars . . . like never before where the wind blows. Leaf shattered and scattered. Life lacking matter, to nourish what will be. Crisp pieces fly ev'rywhere-- though nobody knows where the breezes go, or the wind blows. Nobody e'er knows.
