Game called on account of the rainbow
Dripping gold baseballs over the field
Nobody wanted to swing at them
Heavy in their pockets, no one ran
They disappointed their biggest fan
Game called on account of their greed
All the players headed toward the bank
The startled fans just sat there and cried
Isn’t this supposed to be a game
Seems it’s more about money and fame
Game called on account of the field dried
Ain’t been no rain in such a long time
Can’t buy a drop of water for gold
Third out . . . the parched earth burned and shriveled
In its’ fiery rays the sun quivered
The greedy game of life drank the earth dry,
First we cried, drank our tears and too soon died!
