Eyes shuttered, minds cluttered,
shackled down
hope, blind, thrives, serenades
till life rebounds
Who does he think he is—a warmonger?
Does killing anyone make us stronger?
He heard only what he wanted to hear
but, Folly’s clown, cascades tears not cheer.
Misguided, hind-sighted,
Folly’s clown
turns us ‘round knocks folks down …
hear the clown’s hounds?
What gives him the right to act as God’s hand?
Why scuttle to meet his ev’ry command?
If we are all brothers, why change others?
Folly’s clown makes promises then stutters.
We spread … where others dread.
Weapons? Where?
Led to die for a lie …
hear protests, sounds?
To my country I am true —red, white, blue—
but to fellowmen is our leader true ?
We support dictators, then chase them down.
Who else would do that but him, Folly’s clown?
Are we a dynasty
forcing change?
All men need not rewind—
to honor clowns.
Who are you trying to please, warmonger?
Does killing anyone make us stronger?
Terrorists aren’t the only one I fear.
Folly’s clown is drunk on power. See, hear
children cry; parents die.
We all sigh. Those in charge,
feeling large,
sought revenge
by telling lies.
Folly’s clown oozes jest, foolish actions;
blinding lights, staged, disregards reactions.
The show will soon be over, his play done …
his audience has left as war’s no fun.
