A Sea Isle City Saturday Sunrise by the Sea…

Poem Artwork

Last day before the time change,

Enjoyed a sunrise by my ocean, my sea,

No tourists anywhere within my sight range,

Just old ma ocean, & me,

Listening to each others thoughts for free…

She told me of her fears,

I told her of my recent years,

Oh, yes, ma certainly has worries,

Of me she still does love,

Told me to take home a shell as a souvenir…

Of every shell I acquire,

I remember her and feel so much higher,

She is there for us all,

Never will her love of all the earth, nor mine of her, tire…

Last night Jimmy Kimmel suggested that we drop friends who repost their pictures on their webpages and post-sunrises. Guess I'll have to drop ya.

She'll be there for you until that volcanic island in the Azores splits apart and falls in the sea, bringing a little 60 foot tsunami to thee. So much for living on the beach in Joyzie. ;-)

Loved this, Ed! I totally "get" what you're saying! There's nothing like being beside the sea, especially when you have her all to yourself! She's always listened to me too.....Gorgeous pic!

I see that you also enjoy sunrises, Ed...aren't they just so meditative and beautiful. I cannot imagine living anywhere but near this magnificent natural beauty.

Lovely poem.

Peace, love and light,
Amber
