An environment haiku poem
5+7+5 Shadow of the clouds Falling on the sunken land Holding Sun within Swollen now the clouds Close in on the thirsting earth Blessings shower rains Save water, save life Human lives encumber for Generations more And the ea moves on Around and around it goes Sunshine and showers

Life on the planet needs water. While sometimes there is too much, and sometimes there is too little, the life-giving rain is essential. We are about to get four days of rain after a long dry spell and it is most welcome, since spring planting is in place and very thirsty from drinking out of a garden hose.

Very nice! I think the second line on the second stanza should read "Closed in..." and not "Close in...".
