Tanka verses ( juxtaposing last two lines)
A golden rising sun Gently touched my closed eyes Sun rays warmed skin Pulled me out of my sweet dream We were nestling like birds Summer time it was Ripening lemon yellow fruit Spreading its fragrance lie Carefree birds in the morn sing Underneath the yielding tree I be Facing the four o clock sun Step out into the wild Directionless my stride, Thoughts calm, Steering on life’s path Stillness of the night Heard the Barn owl hooting Watched moon crisscrossing Motor boat hissed at the jetty further Dogs barked, fishermen netted Joyfully I tapped my feet Best things in life comes free Happy to feel Health is wealth Loving is giving

Wonderful work on this Tanka, Roseline, read it twice, second time aloud. Ah, you so covered the emotions and sights within these verses, the last one, of course, said what needed to be said to intensify the thoughts of the above ones.

Eh . . . Can't help but point out this as my favorite three lines . . .

"Stillness of the night
Heard the Barn owl hooting
Watched moon crisscrossing"
