I NEVER LISTEN TO MYSELF

I never listen to myself,

My brain I cannot trust.

To many times it freezes up,

From an accumulation of rust.

I never listen to myself,

I pay myself no mind.

Too often I’m out to lunch,

My brain gets left behind.

I never listen to myself,

I’m wrong more than right.

The lights might be on,

But they’re not very bright.

I never listen to myself,

So there’s no misconstruing.

Why should I listen to myself,

I never know what I’m doing.
