I hope you have as much fun reading this, as I did writing it. This is also a repost from a while back.

 LOVE IN THE GROCERY STORE

I needed to get some groceries,

Staples for the house, and more.

Little did I expect to find,

Love in the grocery store.

I was going bananas,

Over this cute little peach.

She had a great set of melons,

Weighing in at two pounds each.

She was a plum of a girl.

You could tell she was rye bread.

She was absolutely radishing,

I couldn’t get her out of my head.

Her pork loins were lean.

She had a box of sweet cherries.

She had me whipping cream,

As we strolled through the dairy.

She said she was corny.

I said I was corny too.

So lettuce be artichoke hearts.

We’ll be each other’s fondue.

I took her by the yam,

And we proceeded to shuck endive.

And the last thing we heard,

As they kicked us out of the store,

Was….  “Clean up on aisle 5”.

Hi Mike Love your humor and Rhythmic verse. So lettuce, turnip and peas were not on your grocery list.Keep it up great!!
A old Jewish fella was talking to his friends they told him that Rye Bread is good for male ego. So he went to the bakery and asked for 4 loafs. The baker said not a good idea, it will get hard before it is all gone. He said why didn't I know this before
Thanks Darryl Ehlers

I remember when you wrote it first and still can't stop laughing.

I will leave with a Little Rascals remark after being offered an artichoke instead of hot baked pie:

"It may choke Artie, but it ain't going to choke me!"
