A REFRIGERATOR

I’ve got the coolest job,

Even though I work all day.

I stand alone in the kitchen,

True convenience on display.

I know how to chill.

I’m a sight to behold.

I keep perishables fresh,

And beverages cold.

I’ve got shelves and drawers full of food,

And leftovers that are long forgotten.

Right now I could use a good cleaning,

Because something is smelling rotten.

I keep my temperature under control,

Despite my size and brawn.

And by the way, when you shut my door,

………The light stays on.
