I used to hang around the kitchen and watch my mother make all kinds of stuff with her double bladed mixer. And then she'd take out the blades and wash them very carefully so that we wouldn't get any germs from the last batch. I don't know what the brand of that mixer was but it probably lasted 50 years or more. It was indispensable for her cooking.
