Sometimes it's not wise to stop and smell the flowers.

 THE FLORIST

A florist was working in a flower shop,

Among plants that were in full bloom.

But someone left the doors open,

And a swarm of bees flew in the room.

Surrounded by these buzzing bugs,

All the florist could do was freeze.

Her cry for help was clearly heard,

But you couldn’t see the florist for the bees.

How sad this is, if she had a honey pot beside her on the counter, I bet they would have swarmed for the honey instead,

The phrase "you couldn't see the florist for the bees" made my day. I could see him buried in a mountain of bees.

There's one thing for certain: you are the clever one, and I don't think you can "bee" beat. Looking forward to the next one. I think I'll put my thinking cap on and see if I can come up with something funny. It may take me a couple years, but I'm gonna give it a try. If I can do it, I'll dedicate it to you, along with a side note that I was inspired by your mighty pen. Until then...

A clever play on words, backed up by a clever idea. Nicely done, Michael. John
